I applied for a free phone at safelink, and tried to email my information but never got a reply email, so I uploaded a picture of my EBT card. after a few days it was accepted. The longest wait was for approval from N.C., because that took a few weeks. I actually didn't think it was going to work, but one day I checked my status, and everything was finally approved! It took about a week for the... Read more

The 1st phone I got worked for 3 months and then died. But I did get my minutes regularly and could text and read texts with no addition charge. Then They sent me a replacement phone. OH MY GOD, I can not text, hit any button and a 3rd of the time it starts screaming so I have to pull the battery to get it to stop. Have not got any minutes since getting the 2nd phone but they charge me for every... Read more

My SAFELINK phone was stolen I purchased another phone to switch my service over however the transaction could not be processed. Automated voice says it's due to another order being processed. I have not placed any orders and have not been able to resolve anything, no live person to speak! I cancelled the service now someone answers my stolen phone and hang up. I'm very upset and want the service... Read more

Being on disability, I finally got too poor to afford a land-line, with all its attendant fees and taxes. (My actual phone calls came to about eight bucks. The phone bill was for over fifty, with another fifty for internet service. Can't argue with that, I just can't afford it anymore.) So I got a safelink tracfone for free, when I heard about it. After a full night's battery charge, it... Read more

I would like to get the word out there to ANY and ALL field agents working for any company that contracts with Lifeline to sign up people for a cell phone. If you are hired as a 1099 contractor, AND are forced to attend weekly meetings, forced to adhere to a weekly schedule, forced to man the tents, are given supplies by the company to do your job including clothing, ipad, tablet, etc, AND hate... I had Safelink from September 2009 through December 2013. I did not re-certify this time, as I did not know yet that I would qualify for Medicaid, which I did. I had my phone for 4 months. Throughout, I had constant dead zones and error messages. 50% of the time, I could not make calls. In May, I thought I had lost my phone. I reported it to Safelink, but them found the phone later that night. I... Read more

I have been trying to get a safelink phone for my disabled son since April 2014. I have tried online, have spoken to safelink and have submitted the ream of paperwork they asked for. To date no phone. When I called to speak with someone today, 8/13/14, safelink has no record of paperwork I submitted. Additionally, it is impossible to understand the operators Safelink employs as English is... Read more
