I have been experiencing problem with the safelink phone since it has arrived.. The phone does not make outgoing calls.. Talked to rep more then 10 times and issue still has not been resolved.. Also was told there are no records of my previous call.. I been on the phone for hours and issue is still not fixed.. Read more

I have called all the various safelink phone numbers a total of atleast 30 times, and in the rare instance I actually got a live person to talk to, I was told to call the 800-378-1684 number. After going through all the prompts the recording said "connecting you to a representative" and then the line goes blank and after 13 minutes the beeping sound comes on that is an indication of the phone... My elderly father was in desperate need of a phone and since I could not afford to get one for him, he asked if I could help him apply for the Lifeline service through Safelink. I applied for him and everything was fine until they stated they needed verification of his benefits. I have no idea ,maybe got wet or something.The phone rings ,caller can hear me but I cant hear them also I cant make out going calls I cant hear it ring or anything and the other claims I never called them,I can still get and receive text,my phone rings when i get calls but i cant hear anything on the other end.I'M DISABLED AND RELY on this service for appointments and DRS offices to keep in... I have been trying to get a SafeLink phone since early July, 2014. It's going on mid October now. I was approved for the phone, merely had to send in documentation. No problem! Snail mailed it in, and weeks go by, and it says, still awaiting documentation. So, I emailed them what they needed. Likewise, weeks go by. Nuthin. "Send in documentation." I called to have my nu.er changed. It wasn't changed so I called back. Was told my old number was not recognized. But when I call another phone the old number shows up on caller I'd. I need this number changed and safe link won't help me. Recording keeps hanging up on me. Read more

I have moved to a different part of town and because of the cell towers I am unable to get my phone to work. Waiting for my free minutes for this month and not getting them. I have tried the last several days to get the phone to work and have still been having problems with safelink. I hope that I can get this resolved soon. FURTHERMORE I BOUGHT A NEW PHONE AND WANTED TO TRANSFER MY SERVICE TO THE NEW PHONE, I CALL SAFELINK AND INFORMED THEM. THEY ASKED THE SERIAL NUMBERS OF BOTH PHONES, I GAVE IT TO THEM.THEY SAID THEY'LL SEND ME A SIM CARD TO PUT IN THE NEW PHONE.3 HOURS LATER, BOTH PHONE STOPPED WORKING. Hi, i had gotten a letter from safelink stating that if i qualified for this trial offer the government was implimenting i would receive a smartphone for free that would only cost welfare recipients and other low income families who qualify just like the reg. safelink program in other words only $20.00 per month for unlimited data text and calling just like the wally worlds straight talk service...
