I'm on SSI I thought safelink would help I had T-Mobile but couldn't afford it anymore I signed up for safelink got a trackfone but it doesn't work good at all I miss alot of calls & I don't have voice mail I tried for 3 weeks to get it fixed but no luck I don't even know who is handling my service T-Mobile says not them I have called safelink a dozen times when they got frustrated about my voice mail they told me I don't get it I tried to use google voice but 1/2y missed calls don't get there safelink says its T-Mobile blocking them T Mobile says no they don't handle my account, the phone they sent busted so I put the sim in .my old Lumia 521 Windows phone & it works but still missing calls & no voice mail & I still don't know who's providing my service not. T mobile or trakfone or lifeline or safelink. I live alone I'm 63 yrs old & sick I don't have anyone in California my family is back in Chicago can someone see if I can get. My service fixed or I will have to start selling things to go back to T Mobile @ $65 a month all I get is $768. a month to pay rent & bills & still have food money Thank You Joseph Cannova (714)803-**** Riverside CA.

No phone.

The only option provided for help or complaints is a phone number. I am newly disabled and that is why I applied for the phone. I checked several times and saw that it was still under review. After a month of this I looked to another service provider. I emailed the provider and they advised me of why I was not getting anywhere. I was disgusted that Safelink expected me to call when I never received a phone. I do not have a phone and cannot afford one. I did in factcat allow the competitor to provide me service. I do not understand why Safelink could not even send notificiation through the mail. Or even e-mail. I have to assume that they only want customers that they can screw with.

Minutes

I'm trying to find out if all of my minutes are free, or if the free minutes start at a certain time (7/9 0'clock p.m.) and are free all weekend. I go to the Safelink website, and the website shows "Enrollment I.D.", and last four digits of my soc.etc. no., it also shows "Forgot enrollment I.D", which one assumes means you get asked for you e-mail address, put that in, and your I.D. is then e-mailed to you; so you can go back to website, put I.D. in and go from there. No. You click on "Forgot Enrollment I.D. and it Highlights "This field required", meaning "Enrollment I.D.,fine, I'd like to give it, but I Forgot it. Try working with your customers/keep us happy, and please don't give us hard time; being on disability, I Need this phone, please help me keep it,and Want to.

I have had my phone for more than a month but cannot get it activated. Numerous phone calls and people who barely speak English asking for my personal information telling me they've completed the activation process just to discover they haven't. The last phone call i made to them i was told it had been deactivated because of non use. How can something never activated be deactivated for non use!

Four months of wasted time

have to call every month to get my minutes loaded and it still charges me for my texts, so needless to say my minutes are used up in two weeks time. i go online to check my account and this fourth month says i am cancelled. go figure. applying for disability and no one can contact me, phone wont dial out constantly, or says unregistered sim. worst ever.cant even submit review in less than 100 words,tired of wasting my time,not worth it i think i would be less stressed without a phone. only 14 more words to go so; bad bad bad bad bad bad bad. complaining to bbb and whoever else i can.

Replacement policy dificulty

Having received a notification on my Safelink phone of a possible replacement phone due to the recent revision of their unlocking policy, I went online to the required site and attempted to get the replacement phone. After repeated attempts, filling out the required fields, I was informed that my information did not match my profile.

Upon checking my original application, the info that I entered was EXACTLY the same as what I had submitted on my application.

This , I believe, is a way for Tracfone to deny their Safelink clients from obtaining a better phone. While I am grateful for the safelink service, if Safelink gives notification of something, they should honor it!

Typical Government Runaround

Tried to transfer number and activate new replacement phone. Cannot speak to a real person, just computer transfers all over the place.

Never get someone to talk to. No customer service at all. Doing this for my 87 year old mother-in-law because she was so mad at the old phone because it did not work she threw it away. Now they have no record of that phone according to the computer, mainly because it did not work for the last 2 months.

They do not list a phone number that you can use to contact them, probable the two people working there cannot answer 100 calls per hour. Good luck if you get one of these phones and hope you never have any problems with it or you will be out of luck.

My mother has a Safe link phone which allows 350 free minutes a month. I spent 60 minutes on the phone trying to switch to the new phone.

The message on the hold line said for faster response go to dateline on line, however my mother has no computer nor computer skills, as she is 90 yrs old, so that was not a good option for her. The lack of speedy support and the lack of communication would have frustrated her, so I am glad I did the calling. I question why you could provide better service by internet and not by phone. The language barrier is also a concern, your reps kept saying they needed to call me back on alternate number but had difficulty explaining the process and as it turns out, it did not get resolved in a few minutes, but rep now say it could take up to 48 hrs.

I love the fact that this is a US government program, but the "support" is outsourced. Bye bye tax dollars.

I called to transfer a replacement phone for my 90 yr old mother after a 47 minute wait on hold I got a rep who spoke english but was difficult to understand. The 47 minutes were taken from her 350 minutes per month. I asked to speak to a supervisor and put on hold for another 20. After all that time. They still did not get the phone transferred and it may take 24-48 hrs. to complete.

I misplaced my phone. I received a card in the mail saying the phone hadn't been used in a while and if it was lost or stolen to call and another phone would be issued. Does this company have only one customer service individual? Have been waiting on hold 25 minutes. Went to the website, nothing to assist in this issue. WTF? I'm calling my congressman to complain and to have this subsidized company eliminated from this program.

Run Around Wait 24 Hours

I received a phone that was completely unusable because of my physical disabilities. After verifying three times, I took what little money I have and invested in a tracfone that I could use.

That is when my nightmare really got going. They kept giving me excuses that the phone I purchased would not work because there was no carrier in my area. The unusable phone they sent to me recognized the carrier immediately. They said they had to write up a ticket error key and I needed to call back in 24 hours.

I waited 48 hours the first time, called back and I get the same run around and the excuse, no carrier in my area and wait 24 hours with a new ticket error key. Really, I have no phone that I can use and what will I do in an emergency?

I wish I had the money to not need to rely on government phones or assistance. Is this the price we pay for poor, uncalled for help?

Safelink should not be allowed to operate in the United States

I am a Case Manager and work with Medicaid patients on a daily basis. I have had it with Safelink. After ordering hundreds of phones for those that are entitled today was the last straw. I contacted them to discuss a pending application & was sent round & round through the automated system. Eventually, I did get to a rep. whose name was Ricah(I believe). For over 25 mins. she tried to speak with me, but I could not understand her. I placed my peer on the phone & she could not understand her either. I repeatedly requested to be transferred & throughout the 25 mins. kept trying to understand her. WHAT A JOKE!! No one should have to put up with this type of customer svc. & I know that my pts. could not. Safelink should not be allowed to operate. If my company acted like this we would be closed. There are hundreds of similar complaints out there about safelink.

Worst ever!!

This company is a joke and an insult. When we had issues the "manager" stated that we should just spend more money or go elsewhere and leave them alone. Then we were transferred to a senior manager who did not understand us well and we could not understand her due to her broken English. She stated that it was not their fault that we were "retards that can't use a phone" referring to my 89 year old father. The phone did not work and the volume was so low we could not hear anything. I programmed the loudest possible but there was no change. The senior manager sated that it was not her fault that we were deaf, (though we are not) and simply said tough luck. Can't wait to get rid of them. AVOID THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!

The experience was terrible and I called from my cell which meant they used a lot of my minutes because they were having technical difficulties on their end and also I could barely understand her due to her strong Asian accent.I had to spell everything I said out to her and she repeated then spelled it back.(so annoying)I hate to have to call back when the phone arrives this was so awful.Why cant they have a customer service center somewhere here in the US,would give people here jobs as well as make the call more pleasant and tolerable,just a thought.However I am thankful for the free phone so I guess you get what you "PAY" for.Lol
