A young man came to my apartment. He claimed to be from Safelink, he had a badge with picture.
I live in a "secure" building so I believed he was who he said he was. He told me I qualified for a new smartphone and asked for my last four as he called safelink to place the order. I had been a Safelink flipphone customer for about one year. I never got a new phone, minutes stopped and when I tried to contact them I got nowhere.
I attempted to go to Assurance to get another phone, but was told Safelink may have port blocked me. I now have no cell and will try to contact Safelink to clear up, but I believe customers aren't important to them.

Preferred solution: free of free phone from Safelink. They have no interest in ID theft and or fraud.
