I came across this website here that talks about free government cell phones. I was a bit skeptical at first, but decided to apply to Safelink Wireless.

I received my phone two months ago and everything has been great so far. The service is great, but their customer service sucks! I called in and had to wait over 30 minutes before a service representative took my call. Good thing I haven't had to call in that much.

All in all I think this is a great service. I checked out a few other Lifeline phone carriers, but Safelink seemed the most reputable.
